Wild Camping for Beginners: What food to take

Want to know what food to pack for camping? Watch the video and read the list below to help you pack for your adventure.

Drink:

  • Water (refill from steams and use water purification tablets).

  • Consider packing tea bags, coffee and/or hot chocolate.


Food


Day One:

  • [Lunch not needed.]

  • Snacks; Chocolate bar, crisps, dried fruit, fruit, snack bar.

  • Evening meal; Pasta, pesto (and cous cous in this case for extra volume and calories!).

Day Two:

  • Breakfast: Croissants with jam (x2).

  • Lunch - Sandwiches (x3).

  • Snacks; Chocolate bars, crisps, apple.

  • Evening meal; Curry and rice (pre-cooked packets)


Day Three:

  • Breakfast: Croissants with jam (x2)

  • Snacks; Chocolate bar, crisps, apple.

  • [Lunch not needed.]

The tips in the post about what food to take for wild camping were really practical and easy to picture on a real trip. I remember planning a short outdoor weekend with friends while juggling university work, and during that hectic week I even had to pay someone to write my assignment uk to stay on track.
