OVERVIEW

Perhaps you're interested in wild camping but aren't sure where to start. It can be tricky to know what equipment you need, which gear is best, where you can camp, how to stay safe, what food and water to take, how to go the toilet in the wild, and most of all, maybe you'd like to meet some people to go camping with.

We can help with all that! By the end of this weekend you’ll be all kitted out with brand new gear for you to keep. You'll be confident using it and you’ll have made some new camping-keen friends to plan your own adventures with. The world will be your camping-oyster; you just need to decide where you want to go next!

There also an option to learn and practice map reading and navigation skills.

A fun, sociable, solo-friendly group to adventure with!
An Adventure Solos host throughout the event who is qualified as a Mountain Leader and first-aider.
Adventure Solos' detailed Pre-Adventure Guide.
A bundle of brand new camping gear specifically selected for the event. The bundle is for you to keep and includes a tent, sleeping bag, an inflatable sleeping mat, headtorch, stove, gas, a cook-set, an inflatable pillow and a few other additional small-but-mighty extras for a great camping experience.
Two nights' wild camping in different locations so you get to practice making and breaking camp.
Handy hints and tips as well as answer your questions along the way.
Beautiful sights of the Lake District; we'll camp overlooking lakes each night.
New friends; you'll meet like-minded newbie campers that you can plan future trips with.
An option to do as much (or little) map reading and navigational training as you like during the event.
