WILD CAMPING WEEKEND

OVERVIEW
It's time to dust of your camping gear and join us for a social weekend in the Lake District!
We meet for a pub lunch at 1pm on the Friday then hike a few miles to a nearby tarn. We set our tents up in the afternoon and enjoy some social time. On the Saturday we leave our tents at the tarn and hike Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain at 978meters (3,209ft) before returning to our tents in the evening. On Sunday we break camp and walk back to the cars, arriving around midday and leaving you plenty of time to travel home.
You must have at least a moderate level of fitness for this event. I can offer a lift before and/or after the event (on a first-come, first-served basis) from Oxenholme Train Station if anyone is travelling by public transport.
There is an option to learn and practice map reading and navigation skills here. (I'm a NNAS qualified Tutor, however this isn't a NNAS course).
