DESCRIPTION
We walk around two of the Lake District lakes, Grasmere ('mere' being a body of water) and Rydal Water on this circular walk. And of course we pop into the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop on our way back, before ending the walk at a beautiful cosy pub in the Lake District.
​
The walk is fairly flat and easy going. It is around 5 miles (8km) long and gently meanders around and above the lakes. We often see cuckoos, tame robins and red squirrels along the way.
The walk is very achievable within 4 hours. We walk at a steady pace for this hike; a low/moderate level of fitness will suffice.

​Meeting point: Red Bank Road Car Park, Grasmere, LA22 9SW.
