Accommodation
The accommodation is in a rural location and is bunkhouse style – a little bit like a youth hostel but less formal and you will be the only guests here. The main building has a kitchen, seating and ‘hang-out’ area for socializing. The detached bunkhouse has three bunkrooms; beds and mattresses are provided but please bring a sleeping bag with you (and a pillow should you desire!). There is also a toilet block with showers, please bring a towel with you.
Transport/Getting there
The weekend is based at Longsleddale Outdoor Pursuits Centre/Bunkhouse which is just under 10 miles north of Kendal in the Lake District, North West England.
• Driving – if you are driving, the postcode is LA8 9BE.
• Trains - Kendal has two train stations, Kendal and Oxenholme, the latter of which is on the West Coast main line service from London Euston (2.5 hours) to Glasgow (2 hours). You can then get a taxi which we would encourage you to share with other attendees (taxi is approx £7.50 each if there are four of you and we can help you find other guests to share with).
The weekend will finish in Windermere. This is less rural than the accommodation and is therefore easier to travel home from, including regular trains from Windermere Station to both Kendal and Oxenholme for around £6.
Food and Drink
Food for four meals will be provided: Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday as well as breakfast on Sunday (lunch on Sunday will be in Windermere). Please let us know when booking if you have any dietary requirements.

Experience - you do not need prior experience for the activities - most people won't have done the activities before and the instructors and guides will help everyone through.
