DESCRIPTION
This walk starts and ends in Hartington Village in the Peak District. The walk flat and easy going, following the River Dove downstream through this beautiful and peaceful valley. Along the way, we pass a cave and with narrow channel that loops through the rock face (channel only fully accessible by small children I'm afraid!). The return trip takes us from Wolfescote Dale into Biggin Dale back to Hartington where we enjoy a chat in the cosy pub. I'd also recommend picking up a local Homity Pie; made from potatoes, cheese and onion. The walk is around 5.5 miles (9km), and will take us up to 4 hours. We walk at a steady pace for this hike; a low/moderate level of fitness will suffice. Find out how to join your first hike with us for free when you sign up to the mailing list.
