DESCRIPTION
Shutlingsloe rises proudly above the rolling hills of the Cheshire countryside. It is a striking and distinctive peak, often referred to as the "Matterhorn of Cheshire".
​
Shutlingsloe stands at 506 metres and offers some of the finest panoramic views in the region. ​On this route, we also take in some forest walks in Macclesfield forest, and may see alpacas and highland cows at farms along this circular route.
​​​
The walk takes around 4.5 hours. We walk at a steady pace; a moderate/high level of is recommended, particularly for ascending the relatively sharp 200m climb to the top.

Duration: Approximately 4.5 hours walk + c1 hour visit to nearby pub.
