DESCRIPTION
Shutlingsloe rises proudly above the rolling hills of the Cheshire countryside. It is a striking and distinctive peak, often referred to as the "Matterhorn of Cheshire".
Shutlingsloe stands at 506 metres and offers some of the finest panoramic views in the region. On this route, we also take in some forest walks in Macclesfield forest, and may see alpacas and highland cows at farms along this circular route.
The walk takes around 4.5 hours. We walk at a steady pace; a moderate/high level of is recommended, particularly for ascending the relatively sharp 200m climb to the top.
