CATBELLS WALK

Catbells in the Lake District was one of Alfred’s Wainright’s favourite fells (and he had 214 to choose from).

It offers the feel of a true mountain climb, and incredible vistas, without extreme difficulty.

Catbell's stunning ridge walk provides breathtaking 360° panoramas of the Lake District as well as close-up views of Derwentwater’s shimmering waters and scattered islands below.

Catbells, at only 451 meters, allows you to gaze across the island-dotted lake and rolling fells. It is an unforgettable Lakeland experience—a must for the unforgettable views!

Distance: 9 miles (14.5km).
Duration: Approximately 5 hours walk + c1 hour visit to pub.
Pace: Slow and steady (please bear this in mind if you're a fast hiker).
Fitness required: Moderate/High.
