First things first - an introduction!

I'm Chris, I'm in my 40s (early 40s!) and that's me at the front in red in the photo. I founded Adventure Solos in 2019 to help bring people in their 30s, 40s and 50s together for group adventures. We provide beginner-friendly events, and the 'solos' part means you can try new activities without having to convince your friends it's a good idea too!

Before creating Adventure Solos, I lived and worked in various cities (Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow and London) as part of a career in investment and finance. My time living in Scotland in particular means I have had plenty of adventures and I love helping to share these with others. I now live on the edge of the Lake District in North West England - a beautiful part of the world. I generally host all of the Day and Weekend Events myself, with the Expedition Events sometimes being hosted by one of our specially selected leaders (also with all the appropriate outdoor qualifications) who will also give you a friendly warm welcome.

I'm really pleased you've found us - if you like the sound of things so far I recommend staying in touch by signing up to the mailing list here.

Most people that book on to Adventure Solos events are challenging themselves. Sometimes this is by trying activities for the first time. Sometimes it is nerves about meeting a bunch of new people. More often than not, it's a bit of both!

I was nervous before hosting my first few events too. So I've included a short video for you below that might help to put you at ease a little. Just click the video below to play - with sound on works best:

I hope you can see we're actually friendly, normal and sometimes even happy people!

It would be great to have you involved. If you're ready to find out more, take that first step by joining the mailing list section below.
